Introduction.

Microsoft defrag,  is a Microsoft utility designed to help organise data stored on the hard disk drive. Disk defrag place all data togerther instead of scattered throughout the hard disk drive, allowing data to be read faster on the hard disk drive.

How to defragment your hard drive.

Step 1.

Click on Start and locate  Computer or My Computer icon.

Step 2.

Click to open My computer/Computer  window.

Step 3.

Select the drive you want to defragment by clicking it. The default drive is normally labelled C:

Step 4.

Right click (click the right button of your mouse.) the drive and select properties on the pop up menu.

Step 5.

Click on the tools tab and click the defragment button.The computer will now go through the defragmenting process.
